The Washington Redskins’ 2017 draft class will not be eligible to play in the NFL until after the 2021 NFL Draft.
That means the Redskins will be able to use the first pick in the 2021 draft on a player who will be a restricted free agent.
The 2017 NFL Draft is on March 29, 2021.
Here’s a look at the players who could be eligible for draft eligibility, according to the rules of the draft.
The first round will include the top 10 overall picks, the top three selections in the first round, the second- and third-round picks, and the fourth-round pick.

The second and third overall picks will go at No. 2 and No. 7 overall.
The fourth and fifth picks will be at No .6 and No .7 overall.
The draft is not an amateur draft.
The top five picks will not have the rights to play at a pro-level.
They will be restricted free agents.
The top four picks will stay in Washington for the first four years of the contract.
The remaining picks will become free agents after the 2020 NFL season.
The team that selects first will have the first right to sign the player to a long-term contract.
The team that takes second, third or fourth overall will have second rights to sign a contract that will keep the player in Washington until at least June 2021.
The player who signs the long-lasting contract in Washington will receive the first $3.9 million of the player’s rookie salary in 2021.
If he signs a new contract, he’ll receive the next $3,000 of the rookie salary over the first two years of his contract.
